Who this course is for

VET teachers, trainers, assessors and leaders who are starting from the beginning with generative AI. No prior experience is assumed, and nothing here needs you to be technical.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain what generative AI actually is, and why it hallucinates
  • Use a variety of AI applications in your own teaching and assessment workflow
  • Read ASQA's principles for the responsible use of AI in VET against your own practice
  • Judge the validity of assessment evidence rather than chase detection
  • Rethink tasks where online delivery makes authenticity hard to establish
  • Understand what AI agents and wearables mean for anything assessed online

What is included

  • Five modules, around two hours of video in short lessons you can fit around a teaching load
  • Replayable screen demos, so you can watch the tools being used and then try them yourself
  • A printable workbook for every module
  • The full slide deck as a PDF
  • A resource pack, kept current with ASQA guidance for the life of your access

How it is taught

The course starts from readiness, not policing. The premise is that VET educators need to understand these tools well enough to make good decisions about assessment, compliance and what they teach, rather than to detect and prohibit.

For teams and whole organisations

Seat packs for departments, and site licences with unlimited enrolment for a single RTO or institute, are available. Site licences include quarterly completion reporting and content updates for the term. See licensing options for schools, universities and RTOs.
