Who this course is for

VET teachers, trainers, assessors and leaders who are starting from the beginning with generative AI. No prior experience is assumed, and nothing here needs you to be technical.

What you will be able to do

• Explain what generative AI actually is, and why it hallucinates
• Use a variety of AI applications in your own teaching and assessment workflow
• Read ASQA's principles for the responsible use of AI in VET against your own practice
• Judge the validity of assessment evidence rather than chase detection
• Rethink tasks where online delivery makes authenticity hard to establish
• Understand what AI agents and wearables mean for anything assessed online

How it is taught

The course starts from readiness, not policing. The premise is that VET educators need to understand these tools well enough to make good decisions about assessment, compliance and what they teach, rather than to detect and prohibit.
