A comprehensive course designed to take you from beginner to advanced with GenAI. This course covers everything from contextual prompting through to coding and local, open source AI.
At every point along the journey, the focus is on practical, confidence building activities and advice designed to help you avoid the overwhelm that so many people feel about AI platforms.
The Practical AI Process

Who this course is for
Educators who want to move from first steps to genuinely capable use of generative AI, at their own pace. It starts at Foundation level and assumes nothing, but it goes a long way further than most introductory courses.
The process itself
The course is built around five steps you can apply to any task, with any model:
- Apply your expertise
- Select the right model
- Add context to your prompts
- Make use of the internet connection
- Iterate and refine
What you will be able to do
- Choose between chat, reasoning and research models for a given task, rather than defaulting to one tool
- Build context deliberately, instead of relying on clever prompt wording
- Work with multimodal AI: image, audio and video as well as text
- Understand what AI agents do, and where they are and are not useful
- Use AI for coding and small builds, with no programming background
- Run open source models locally when privacy or cost matters
What is included
- Six sections, 37 lessons, around five hours of video
- A graduated path: Foundation, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
- Follow Along exercises at the end of each level so you practise as you go
- Bonus videos covering the most popular GenAI products
How to use it
Each level stands on its own. Plenty of people stop at Beginner or Intermediate and get everything they need; the Advanced section is there when you want it.
